It's a show devoted to the tradition of Classic Burlesque. Not to be confused with shows performed today, Classic Burlesque was an original American theatrical form that featured comedy, dancing, singing, live instrumental music and of course, the Strip Tease. This theatrical form was hugely popular during the 1920's, 30's and 40's.

The 1943 feature film LADY OF BURLESQUE will be screened uncut starring Barbara Stanwyck. Based on Gypsy Rose Lee's novel, THE G-STRING MURDERS.

The Plot: After one member of their group is murdered, the performers at a burlesque house must work together to find out who the killer is before they strike again.

PLUS SELECTED SHORT SUBJECTS: Short films featuring famous Burlesque performers such as Betty Page, Sally Rand and Tempest Storm. Sally Rand's world famous Fan Dance will be seen as it was performed at the 1934 Chicago World's Fair.

This show will be introduced by film historian Chris Perry.
