Only one man's concept (Norman E. Timbs) is still a concept car. Buick by virtue of the fact that it was built around a Buick engine, the 1948 Streamliner was perhaps the pinnacle of the streamlined look that was already beginning to be outdated by 1948.  After World War II, fast things were a little dangerous and people were tired of dangerous, setting up the need for flair in the 1950's.  Still, in 1948 it was a pretty car and in 2015 it's a pretty car.
